Creator Spotlight: Emily Richards

Emily Richards (@adventurefamdam) is a full-time traveler and content creator who found community and creativity on the road. From exploring British Columbia to Baja and Mainland Mexico with her daughter, she embraces slow travel and the outdoors. What has been your most unforgettable trip?

Taking our daughter through British Columbia, the west coast of the USA, down Baja and across to Mainland Mexico on the Ferry all in under a year!

Go Slower!

What made you want to share your experiences through content creation?

To create community that I lacked while traveling full time.

What inspires you on a daily basis?

My daughter. Mother Nature. Other creators!

Explain your content creation journey in a paragraph or two:

I started when we hit the road a few years ago to have a sense of community while living on the road full time. I found it was a great creative outlet and lots of fun! It grew on its own, slowly but surely, and has been such an incredible journey. I still can't believe content creation is now my full time job!

What's next on your bucket list?

We want to make it to Tofino this summer!

What is something most people don't know about you?

I have a BFA in ceramics

If you could only visit one place for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?

Baja. Its where I fell in love with my husband and later got engaged. It will always hold a special place for me.

What is one piece of advice for those hoping to start monetizing their content creation?

Do it for you first, your audience second, and money last.
