A Letter from Madi, CEO and Founder of Mount

When I started Mount, I was 12 years old, tinkering with a bike lock and dreaming about building something that mattered. I never could’ve imagined that one day it would grow into a global community of travelers, hosts, creators, and local businesses who believe in the power of authentic stories.

Mount was built on a simple idea: people don’t want ads, they want real recommendations from real people. Over the years, that belief shaped everything we did from the creators we partnered with to the experiences we helped bring to life. Together, we built a community that reached millions of travelers every month, all driven by genuine, creator-led storytelling.

Today, I’m excited to share the next chapter.Mount is joining Popfly.

This means Mount’s community, creators, and vision will live on inside a platform designed to help brands and creators collaborate in more meaningful, transparent, and scalable ways. Casey and I are joining the Popfly team to continue this mission. Not just to carry Mount forward, but to help shape what creator partnerships look like in the years to come.
